        Program note:   

The more I learn about the double bass, the more I am amazed by its capability of making many different sounds. Its long strings provide a wide range of register and resonance; I then had the idea of exploring this extreme range and its unusual sounds; then juxtaposing them together.

In my mind, there is a story behind this music; however, I prefer presenting it by music, instead of telling you by words. The story begins: 

“Once upon a time…”
